To make Angel's dream happen, we first aim to collect the money for the materials needed to build two rondavels. These round, mud brick, thatched-roofed houses are a familiar sight in the area of Coffee Bay and are warm in winter whilst being cool in summer.
Once the huts are built, we hope to be able to purchase a water tank, fencing for the vegetable gardens and animals such as chickens, goats and eventually a cow. To make the place relatively self-sufficient would be ideal.
Medical expenses are also a great issue for these children and immunisation programs are rare. Therefore, to be able to sponsor the children to enable them to get the vaccinations and medical check-ups that our children take for granted would be a wonderful way to ensure that they stay healthy.
In the future, we hope to be able to offer a sponsorship program where people can choose a child to sponsor on a monthly or yearly basis.
There are no administration costs in running this fundraiser and website – 100% of your donation will be used solely for the benefit of the orphanage, to achieve the purposes outlined above.
